Dental care support consists of high-cost protection and a dental care allowance. Our clinic is registered with Försäkringskassan and uses the general dental care support scheme.
Dental care allowance
The dental care allowance is an annual allowance that everyone aged 20 and over can use as part payment at a dentist or dental hygienist.
The allowance is topped up on 1 July each year, but can never exceed the sum of two years' allowances.
High-cost protection
High-cost protection helps you reduce the costs of more extensive treatments. For treatments up to 3 000 kr, you pay the full price, but the dental care allowance can be used as part payment.
For costs between 3 000 kr and 15 000 kr, you pay at least 50 % of the total cost yourself. For amounts above 15 000 kr, you pay at least 15 % of the total cost.
Good to know
Reimbursement is based on Försäkringskassan's reference prices, and any differences between the reference prices and our prices are paid by the patient. Cosmetic dentistry is not covered by dental care support.
